Northwestern Michigan College

We are an FAR Part 141 certified school operating as a division within Northwestern Michigan College, part of the Michigan community college system.  We operate a fleet of 13 aircraft, including Cessna 172SP's, Piper Aztecs, a Super Cub floatplane and a Super Decathlon.  We currently have 65 full time students seeking an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Aviation, with many continuing toward a 4-year degree through our partner universities.  We are located in Traverse City, Michigan, and fly out of Cherry Capital Airport (KTVC).  We offer training towards the following licenses:  private, instrument rating, commercial, multi-engine, CFI, CFII, seaplane, tailwheel, and multi-engine instructor.  NMC has been conducting flight training since 1967.
